Barmore’s eight tackles also tied him for the team lead. His last stop came on the first play of Denver’s last

possession, a three-and-out that gave New England possession with 58 seconds remaining and set up a field goal

with two seconds remaining in the Patriots’ 26-23 victory. He and defensive back Myles Bryant stopped Denver

running back Before Sunday night’s game, Barmore had never had more than six tackles or one sack in a game. He became the first

New England player with at least three sacks and seven or more tackles in the same game since linebacker Mike

Vrabel had three sacks and 13 tackles in a 52-7 victory over the Washington Redskins on Oct. 28, 2007.

After the game, Barmore stated, “I just want to come out here and be the best player that I can be to help the team
win and make my defense and coaches proud.” “Hey, dominate,” they say to me all the time. I respond, “Yes, sir.”

Barmore was selected from Alabama in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. During his first two seasons, he

recorded four sacks and five tackles for loss. In2023, he surpassed his career best of 48 tackles and six pass

breakups, which is twice as much as he had in his previous two seasons. He also has 8.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss.

Following Sunday’s game, Patriots coach Bill Belichick declared, “It was by far his best offseason.” He’s stayed a little

healthier since he’s kept up his intense training. Even though he has played a lot of football, his offseason training

has allowed him to keep up his fitness and health. His explosive power and conditioning have both benefited greatly

from his lower body. He has benefited from the experience. He performed admirably tonight. He was able to benefit

from a few things we had set up that were effective.
