Nine players had left the Alabama football program through the transfer portal as of Wednesday night. More athletes may depart the program as a result of the Crimson Tide’s devastating 27-20 overtime loss to the Michigan Wolverines in the College Football Playoff on Monday. Defensive back Kristian Story is one among the people departing Tuscaloosa, according to Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.

On Wednesday, Story is the sixth corner to use the transfer portal. Former Liberty Flame Kobe Singleton, Cal Golden Bear Sailasa Vadrawale, NC State cornerback Aydan White, and teammate Earl Little Jr. have also chosen to transfer to a new program today. With eight interceptions and 100 tackles in four college seasons, White leads the group.

Story signed a letter of commitment with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Story is a top-ranked recruit in the 2020 class according to 247Sports. The native of Alabama did not participate in games as a freshman and finished his sophomore and junior seasons with a total of seven tackles. But this season, the six-foot-one third-level defender rotated across the defense and was a major contributor on special teams.
