JUST IN: Jurgen Klopp handed surprise suspension blow for Arsenal vs Liverpool FA Cup tie

Ahead of Liverpool’s FA Cup match against Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp has been dealt yet another setback. With several

questions in every area of the field, the number of absences for the trip to Emirates Stadium has reached double

figures due to recent injuries and players away on international duty.

With Mohamed Salah, 31, away with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations for the next few weeks, the Reds have

suffered their worst blow. As he gets ready for the Asia Cup with Japan, midfielder Wataru Endo is also traveling to

an international competition.

While Dominik Szoboszlai’s 4-2 victory over Newcastle marked his final game for several weeks, he is expected to

miss a similar amount of time due to a hamstring injury. It’s a wound. As cited by the Liverpool Echo, Klopp stated

on Friday morning, “Muscle, hamstring.”

We’ll have to observe. Dom is optimistic; he’s not in much pain, but there’s no hope for Sunday. Not on Wednesday,

then. After that, we’ll see. Hopefully, he will return after that, but we’re not sure. Andy Robertson, who was replaced

at the back by Kostas Tsimikas after the 1-1 draw with Arsenal in December, is still sidelined due to a shoulder issue.

Jurgen Klopp was unintentionally knocked out after the Greece international and Bukayo Saka collided. Tsimikas

appeared to break his collarbone, but he has already resumed training. In spite of this, Liverpool decided to bring

back Owen Beck from his Dundee loan to offer some left-back insurance.

It would be expected, given the choice, that he would sit on the bench at Emirates Stadium, but that is not the case.

According to The Athletic, Beck took a one-match suspension from Scotland with him, thus he won’t be able to play

at the Emirates.

Given that the teenage defender received two yellow cards in July—a ban that he has not yet served—and that

Dundee did not participate in the competition afterward, the suspension is very unexpected.
