Real Madrid ‘concerns’ have Kylian Mbappe ‘considering a surprise Premier League move’.
Despite Real Madrid’s interest, PSG sensation Kylian Mbappe is allegedly thinking about making an unexpected summer move to the Premier League as a free agent.
Following the announcement that Mbappe will not be exercising his option to extend his contract with PSG by one year, one of the greatest topics in international football has been about his long-term future.
With his current contract set to expire in June, the Frenchman is now free to discuss a pre-contract arrangement with European clubs.
Real Madrid has long been the front-runner to sign Mbappe; according to The Athletic, Los Blancos are “doing everything possible” to persuade the player to make the highly anticipated transfer to the Bernabeu.
One major issue, according to rumors, is that Mbappe is being offered less by the Spanish powerhouses than what they had offered when they last attempted to recruit him in 2022.
Furthermore, Mbappe is reportedly exploring “a range of sporting and financial options,” which may include a surprise free agent transfer to the Premier League, according to The Times.
The French superstar has been linked to Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United; it remains to be seen if any or all of them would have the financial wherewithal to sign him.
Although PSG is certain that Mbappe won’t sign with them, Liverpool is ‘the most credible and dangerous candidate’ to get him, according to French publication Le Parisien. That makes them perhaps the most intriguing of those four options.
