The NCAA transfer portal has been accessed by Alabama linebacker Kendrick Blackshire, according to many sources.
With one season of eligibility left, Blackshire—a four-star prospect in the Crimson Tide’s 2021 signing class—may redshirt if necessary. After spending the last three seasons primarily on special teams, the native of Duncanville, Texas, has amassed 25 tackles in 24 career games, including two tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

Blackshire is the second linebacker and 17th athlete from Alabama to sign through the transfer portal since the end of the regular season. Last Thursday, redshirt sophomore Ian Jackson, a fellow linebacker, accessed the site.
