With their 27-14 victory over the Denver Broncos, the Las Vegas Raiders concluded their 2023 campaign with a
bang, their eighth consecutive victory over the AFC West opponent.
Success on the ground helped the team in the passing game, just like any well-run offense would. Josh Jacobs was
replaced by second-year running back Zamir White, who finished with 112 rushing yards on 25 runs. It was another
outstanding performance from the rookie.
Aidan O’Connell, a rookie quarterback, completed 20 of 31 passes for 244 passing yards and two touchdowns. Tre
Tucker, a fellow rookie, was his primary target as he exploited the Broncos secondary with his quickness to record a
career-high 79 yards and five receptions. Davante Adams scored O’Connell’s first touchdown at the end of the first
half, and Jakobi Meyers scored it at the start of the fourth quarter.

Meyers scored the first points for the Silver and Black with a five-yard touchdown run in addition to his reception
touchdown. In the history of the team, the receiver is the third player to record touchdowns in passing, receiving,
and rushing all in the same season.
Additionally, the Raiders saw strong play on the defensive end of the ball. This season, they had held the opposition’s
offense to 17 points or fewer in eight of their games.
Off the line of scrimmage, the front seven played quickly and aggressively, with linebacker Robert Spillane leading
the team in total tackles (12). In addition, Maxx Crosby, Tyree Wilson, Malcolm Koonce, Adam Butler, and safety
Isaiah Pola-Mao combined for five sacks against Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Tre’von Moehrig’s
interception to put the offense in victory formation brought the game to a dramatic close.
With the victory, the Raiders finished the season with an 8-9 record.
