It doesn’t mean that’s the only method they can win games; it’s just one strategy they’ve used to win them.
In a game that the Razorbacks never led, South Carolina defeated Arkansas 77-64 on Saturday after going toe-to-toe
in the paint. USC (15-3, 3-2) defeated Arkansas (10-8, 1-4) on the road in the best basketball atmosphere in the SEC,
despite the Gamecocks’ best 3-point shooter, Myles Stute, being sidelined for the next two to three weeks due to a
shoulder ailment.

It becomes more bizarre. With only eight points from Johnson, Arkansas was living and dying by the adage, “Just
don’t let that guy beat you.” Leading scorer for the Razorbacks, Tramon Mark, had just two points at the half
(finishing with 18). In his last game, he had scored a career-high 35 points.
USC defeated Arkansas 38–32 in the lane. Zach Davis, the team’s first starter, had a highlight-reel dunk, Collin
Murray-Boyles leaped to the cup, and Josh Gray found himself posting up and finishing over the Hogs’ big men.
Additionally, the Gamecocks, who lack post presence altogether, outrebounded Arkansas 39–27.

Trevon Brazile covered Johnson, so B.J. Mack paced the early start and dominated the interior, leaving the other
shooters to fill in for him. They took on the duty, with USC completing at 52% from the field. Mack led the squad
with eighteen points.

After then, Johnson and Cooper made back-to-back 3-pointers to increase their advantage to 19 points and complete
a 13-1 run.
