The Golden State Warriors’ interest in Pascal Siakam is one of the rumors that the NBA rumor mill has been
spreading the most. Sadly for Golden State, it appears that those sentiments might not have been shared.

Pascal Siakam wasn’t as thrilled about signing with the Golden State Warriors for a longer contract than this NBA
season, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.
The last year of Pascal Siakam’s four-year, $136,905,216 contract is this one. Any team that traded for Siakam
without knowing he would re-sign would have taken a big risk. It’s highly likely that Siakam signed a new contract
with the Indiana Pacers in exchange for being moved to them.

An underperforming Golden State Warriors squad in need of an All-Star player to complement Steph Curry would
have been ideal for Pascal Siakam. Before the NBA trade deadline, it’s difficult to determine who would be the best
player to replace him. To go along with Steph Curry, the Warriors appear to need more than just a few outstanding
role players—they need a true All-Star. Although the club still has some excellent role players like and other young
players, players of Klay Thompson’s quality aren’t playing as well as they once did.
Although the Golden State Warriors don’t need to win a lot of games, they still could use some assistance.
