After she and Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson made their relationship public, Haley Cavinder received hateful
remarks about her appearance on social media, to the point that she admitted to having a “mental breakdown.”

Cavinder, who played basketball at the University of Miami with her twin sister Hanna and rose to fame on social
media, has been happily dating Ferguson since October. However, she claims that once their affair began, she was
disturbed because she was often referred to as “ugly on the internet.”
In a recent YouTube video with Hanna, she said, “I was in Forever 21 having a great day with my mom and Hannah
and I got this post and I just started looking at the comments about my face,” as reported by the New York Post. I’m
a self-assured girl, but when people make negative comments about you, especially if you have a boyfriend and they
are talking about you online and criticizing your appearance, I think it’s new and that Jake is a great guy, but you
don’t want to be called ugly on the internet all the time and your boyfriend will see it. Nobody is going to feel cool
about that.
I did, however, experience a mental collapse some time ago. Since Jake was quite vocal about our relationship, I can
honestly say that I feel very confident and at ease sharing it with others. Since he had always been that way, I felt
quite secure and at ease sharing him.
Haley and Hanna were most last photographed at AT&T Stadium in December, when the Cowboys easily defeated
the Eagles 33–13. Haley posted multiple photos to Instagram of the twin sisters supporting the home team while
sporting blue and white Cowboy shirts.
Haley, who moved from Miami to TCU in November, first raised rumors that she was dating Ferguson in September
when she posted a picture of herself wearing a Cowboys shirt to Instagram and the NFL player commented with a
heart eyes emoji.
That month, before she went to see the team
play the Cardinals, she also posted, “How
bout them cowboys,” alongside a picture of
herself wearing a Cowboys blouse and cowboy
boots. Furthermore, Haley didn’t seem to
have any intention of hiding her relationship
with Ferguson, as she stated in her YouTube
“Q and A” with her sister. “It’s not something that I [want to] keep private because he’s a big part of my life and will continue to be,” she declared. “He’ll be at my
games, and I go to Cowboys games.”
