Following Nick Saban’s resignation, five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams decided to attend college after
decommitting from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Williams has announced that, following a recent visit, he will be returning to Tuscaloosa to pledge to Alabama and
the new head coach, Kalen DeBoer.

Williams had paid the Aggies a visit earlier in the month, and it seemed that Texas A&M was willing to give the five-
star recruit a chance under new wide receivers coach Holman Wiggins.
Williams did, however, ultimately decide to continue with Tide after hearing DeBoer’s updated sales spiel.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, he is now ranked as the No. 12 player in the country, the No. 4 wide
receiver, and the No. 2 player in the state of Alabama. Williams was ranked first among receivers in the 2025 class
prior to his reclassification. Over the past two seasons, Williams has accumulated 160 catches for 2,965 yards and 43 touchdowns.
One of the best prospects in the class of 2025 is scheduled to pay the Aggies a visit as they continue their recruiting
campaign.

Four-star wide receiver Taz Williams has scheduled a visit to College Station for February 3, according to a statement
posted on his own X account.
On January 27, Williams will also visit Penn State. He just returned from an Atlanta visit to Georgia Tech this past
weekend.
According to On3’s industry composite rating, the Red Oak, Texas, product is ranked as the No. 34 wide receiver, No.
45 player in Texas, and No. 256 player overall SMU, TCU, and Texas are also looking for Williams.
In wake of Nick Saban’s retirement, five-star 2024 receiver Ryan Williams decommitted from Alabama on
Wednesday. The Texas A&M Aggies are already making a move to sign him.
Williams stated that he will be spending this weekend in College Station. Other SEC clubs, like Texas and Auburn,
are allegedly interested in the native of Saraland, Alabama.
“Five-star WR Ryan Williams tells me he will visit Texas A&M this weekend,” VanHaaren wrote on Twitter. “Texas
and Auburn are also in it, a visit to Alabama is still a possibility, but he doesn’t know if that will happen yet.”
Devin Sanchez, a five-star cornerback from 2025 North Shore (Houston, TX), committed at halftime, giving the
Texas A&M Aggies hope for a big showing at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio on Saturday.
Unfortunately for the Aggies, Sanchez has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes over the Aggies, Texas Longhorns,
and Alabama Crimson Tide, and will be traveling to the Big Ten instead of College Station.
And he succeeded in doing so in spite of Texas A&M’s proximity to his Houston home.
Sanchez described the Aggies to On3 in November, saying, “They’re down the road, the home state team.” “Coach
(Bryant Gross-Armiento) had to make things work since he was handed a group of kids he didn’t recruit. That’s what
he’s doing, so in my opinion, a coach who is capable of doing that must be knowledgeable.”
At 6-foot-2 and about 170 pounds, Sanchez has received over 30 scholarship offers.
According to the On3 Industry ranking, he is the No. 2 player in Texas, the No. 2
cornerback in the country, and the No. 6 player overall.
He is ranked as the top overall corner in the country by Rivals and 247 Sports.
Dominick McKinley, a five-star Aggies recruit, has reportedly switched to LSU.
The top commit for the Aggies, McKinley, plans to sign in February.
That Jimbo Fisher’s sacking served as the impetus for numerous players quitting or withdrawing from the program
shouldn’t be shocking.
That doesn’t lessen the agony for supporters, though. particularly if the player in question is a five-star prospect.
For five-star receiver Cam Coleman, it was just that; he told On3 that his flip to Auburn was guaranteed the moment
Fisher was gone.
Luckily for the Aggies, Mike Elko managed to maintain a strong class. However, they will now have to line up
alongside Coleman in the SEC, which will serve as a stinging memory for the ensuing years, at the very least.
QB Max Johnson left the Texas A&M Aggies earlier this month via the NCAA Transfer Portal as part of a large-scale
departure of talent from the program.
Consequently, one of the best tight-end prospects in the 2022 class, Jake Johnson, Max’s younger brother, also made
an entry into the portal.
Afterwards, Max pledged to North Carolina, where he would probably succeed standout quarterback Drake Maye in
the upcoming campaign.
And while Matt Zenitz claims that it now seems to be the assumption, there was never a guarantee that Jake would
follow Max to Chapel Hill.
In 2023, Johnson had 24 receptions for 235 yards and four touchdowns.
Walter Nolen, a former defensive lineman for Texas A&M, is anticipated to commit to Ole Miss for the 2024
campaign, per On3’s crystal ball forecast. This week, Nolen is in Oxford to see Lane Kiffin and the Rebels staff.
The No. 11 Rebels have added Taylor Baron of Tennesee and Princely Umanmielen of Florida, further deepening
their defensive line. For the second time in four years, Ole Miss finished with a 10-2 record, but they now aim to join
the SEC elite as a team that will be in the College Football Playoff in 2024.
Over his two years with the program, Mississippi native Nolen participated in 22 games for the Aggies. In all, he
recorded 66 tackles, 11 of which were for loss, along with one forced fumble.
Former Louisiana Tech wide receiver Cyrus Allen verbally committed to the Aggies on Sunday. On December 4, Allen
accessed the site and received interest right away from A&M, USC, Miami, Arkansas, Baylor, and other schools.
With two years left on his eligibility, the 6-1, 180-pound pass catcher was rated as the No. 162 wideout in the country
in the 2022 cycle.
As a result of extensive program modifications, the Texas A&M Aggies have lost another pledge.
Anthony Maddox, a four-star quarterback, has withdrawn from the program, according to a report from On3.
When it comes to his signature on early signing day, Ole Miss is regarded as a major contender.
Three-star Texas A&M Aggies commit Debron Gatling has reportedly de-committed from the program, according to
On3.
I have made the decision to de-commit from Texas A&M after giving it some thought and talking with my family,”
Gatling told On3. “I appreciate the support and opportunities provided and wish the program the best in the future.”
In addition, Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama, and LSU are all recruiting Gatling.
The Texas A&M Aggies are just getting smacked harder and harder.
A few days after Gabriel Reliford’s decommitment and Cam Coleman’s flip to Auburn, the Aggies lost another
commitment on Friday: four-star offensive lineman Coen Echols.
Echols had committed herself to the initiative back in June. On November 25, he paid Auburn a visit, and the Tigers
appear to be leading the chase for his recruitment.
“I would like to start off by thanking the Lord for blessing me to be where I am today,” Echols stated on X. “I also
want to express my gratitude to my family for their unwavering support and direction. I want to express my gratitude
to the Texas A&M coaching staff for providing me with this wonderful opportunity, as well as to the players and fans
for their support and affection for my family and me. All in all, I hope Texas A&M all the best, but in the meanwhile,
my recruiting is open once again. At this point, please honor the decision made by my family and me. This is a life-
changing decision, not just any one.”
