RIGHT IN: HORNER UNVEILS RED BULL’S AMBITIOUS PLANS FOR FUTURE DOMINANCE…

The 2023 season saw Red Bull perform a masterclass with unparalleled dominance by taking victory in 21 out of 22

races. Max Verstappen led most Grands Prix, putting him en route to securing his third consecutive title very early on.

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz briefly posed a challenge to the formidable Milton Keynes-based team securing a win in

Singapore, being the only man to break up the repetitive tone of the season.

Unsurprisingly, work on the latest iteration had already been commenced by Red Bull before the end of the 2023

season. Reports even suggest that the RB20 was completed in the middle of last year, indicating that the 2025 RB21

model is now being worked on by the team.

Stable laws limit Red Bull’s prospective advances versus competition, even with their outstanding 2023 season. Their

extraordinary performance limits the amount of time they spend in the wind tunnel and the number of CFD

(computational fluid dynamics simulation) runs they do, which made it necessary to prioritize RB20 development

early in the previous year.

Ironically, Red Bull’s defense has managed to hold onto a weakness. The team’s development focus needs to be

carefully prioritised in order to close the gap with rivals in wind tunnel skills.Rival teams like McLaren have recently

made significant investments to strengthen their IT infrastructure in an effort to acquire a competitive advantage

over rivals like Red Bull.

However, now Red Bull have unveiled their intentions to construct their wind tunnel facility at their campus situated

in Milton Keynes, shifting from the current facility based in Bedford. With a projected completion date of 2027, the

forthcoming building of the new wind tunnel facility is carefully scheduled to coincide with the 2027 RB23 launch.

Team Principal Christian Horner has reinforced the team’s unshakable commitment to achieving racing perfection

by expressing admiration for the significant progress made in the quest of excellence, as reported by the media outlet

GPFans. Horner stated to the press:Max Verstappen has history on his side and another Formula 1 victory in his sights | MarcaHorner was anxious to highlight that the process of creating a state-of-the-art wind tunnel took almost twenty years.

He went on to discuss the painstaking discussions that took place within the company, saying, “It’s a massive

commitment by the shareholders, and it demonstrates their commitment to the longevity, but it also demonstrates

that Formula 1 is delivering.” “To have a state-of-the-art wind tunnel, something that we debated over the last 19

years, and see where we are at with Red Bull Powertrains, to have within a three-year period recruited close to 500

people and built a state-of-the-art facility with our own manufacturing ability In 2023, Red Bull was nearly

untouchable, but with teams like McLaren drastically improving, the distance to competitors may near. Horner’s

disclosure of fresh developments at the Milton Keynes-based company, however, may allow Red Bull to maintain its

leadership.
