According to an F1 commentator, Alex Albon is considering a potential offer to join Red Bull for the upcoming season.
Former Williams employee Peter Windsor revealed insider knowledge that could influence the driver market in 2025.
Albon would be unable to succeed Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes as a result, and they would have to search elsewhere for a well-known new hire.
Regarding a transfer to Red Bull, Windsor asserted, “As far as I understand it, Albon has been offered a three-year contract to start in 2025.”
“I believe that he will be seen in the Red Bull with Max Verstappen.
“I find it impossible that he will refuse that.
“That’s 90% from what I understand.”
Reuniting with Red Bull would represent a complete circle for Albon. His entire Formula One career was once in jeopardy after Red Bull fired him, but he has since impressed.
Sergio Perez is currently in the last year of his contract and his position at Red Bull is under constant threat.
With Albon pushing Williams to eighth in the 2023 F1 constructors’ championship, all of the top teams in the sport revere him.
However, Hamilton’s bold action has now closed out a route to Ferrari, who have long been associated with him.
In addition, Mercedes may lose out on signing Albon to a contract with Red Bull if they do not like him.
According to F1.com, “Red Bull engineers rate him highly.”
They say that Albon has had preliminary discussions with “at least half of the grid.”
