Buffalo is bolstering their defensive line with another hire. Matt Edwards has joined the Bills as an assistant defensive line coach.
Edwards served as a defensive assistant and pass rush specialist coach with the Raiders for the previous two seasons. Coached defensive end Maxx Crosby to consecutive seasons with ten or more sacks, including a career-high 14.5 in 2023. Edwards played a variety of positions on the Titans staff before to taking on the role as head coach in Vegas. In 2018 he began as an assistant special teams coach, moved to defensive assistant in 2020, and served as Tennessee’s assistant special teams coach during his final season there.
