Alabama basketball revealed its newest uniform on Monday, embracing a modern look while honoring the team’s history.
The words “Crimson” and “Tide” were arranged boldly and asymmetrically over the front of the alternate uniform, which was finished off with a crimson number with white lining. The jersey highlighted performance and style with its modern fabric technology and streamlined fit. With their eye-catching crimson, white, and gray piping and subtly nodding to the team’s legendary past with the classic “Block-A” insignia atop a main white base color, the shorts perfectly matched the jersey. The anticipation for the big revelation had been building on the Alabama Men’s Basketball X account prior to the reveal. The new alternate uniform’s possible appearance sparked fan speculation through teaser photos, videos, and mysterious messages.

Social media was ablaze with excitement following the release of the team’s video. Reactions, emojis, and GIFs were all over X from fans showing their appreciation for the team’s new design and optimism for their impending SEC run. Alabama is currently off for a week following a demanding start to conference play. The No. 15 Crimson Tide’s next game is scheduled for Saturday at Coleman Coliseum against Buzz Williams’ Texas A&M team. The cutoff time is 11 a.m. CT.
