Daniel Edelman, a midfielder, signed a new four-year MLS deal with the New York Red Bulls that runs through 2027.
A 2028 team option is part of the agreement for the 20-year-old New Jersey native that was revealed on Thursday.
Over the last three seasons, Edelman has appeared in 39 MLS games (32 starts), scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Jochen Schneider, the head of sport at NYRB, stated, “We are very excited to keep Daniel at the club for the long term and continue with us.” “Daniel has a winning mentality and embodies all of our key beliefs. He is a player that sets an excellent example for others to follow and will keep representing our team to the fullest both on and off the field.
On the MLS 22 Under 22 list for 2023, Edelman came in at number 21. In May of 2023, he led the US Under-20 squad to victory at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
