RIGHT IN : Unexpected Injury Status A Gain To Golden State Warriors…

Star forward Kawhi Leonard has been suddenly ruled out of the LA Clippers’ game against the Golden State Warriors due to a left adductor strain, according to the team’s injury report released for Wednesday night’s game. Up until this point in the season, Leonard has missed just four games due to injury. Those four games followed one after the other and were caused by a hip contusion. Leonard has not missed a game since his injury comeback on January 1st, but he will end that run on Wednesday against Golden State.
The Clippers have not yet provided an update on Leonard’s injury’s severity or whether it would prevent him from playing in the All-Star Game. If Leonard is unable to play in Sunday’s game, he will have time to relax as this is the Clippers’ final game before the All-Star break.
Leonard will take a few days off over the break, even if he plays in the All-Star game. Ty Lue and Leonard made no mention of this postgame, thus this injury status was unexpected. The following information will probably be released when Lue speaks to the media ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Warriors. Both teams are playing for pride in this crucial matchup as the Clippers look to reclaim the top spot in the Western Conference while the Warriors try to keep up their winning ways.
