Wes Phillips, the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, is anticipated to enter a guilty plea on Friday to an
amended charge of careless driving resulting from his arrest for fourth-degree DWI on December 8. Hennepin
County Court records confirm this.
Only a few days before the Vikings were scheduled to go to Las Vegas to play the Raiders, an event occurred. When
44-year-old Phillips was pulled over on December 8 at around 11 p.m., his blood alcohol concentration was.10, which
is beyond the limit allowed in Minnesota for driving.

That evening, he was freed from the Hennepin County Jail after posting a $300 bond. Phillips will perform eight
hours of community service and pay $378 in fines as per the terms of the plea deal.
Four days following his arrest, Phillips gave a speech at the TCO Performance Center. He went to Las Vegas with the
team, where they defeated the Raiders 3-0.
“In addition to the standards I set for myself, I am aware that the NFL and the Minnesota Vikings have expectations
of me as a coach in this league. I fell short of those expectations. Phillips stated, “The last thing I would ever want to
do is take away from the great things that these guys do on the field.

” “That was unfortunate from me, I do believe in being accountable and learning from your mistakes, accepting
whatever discipline may come down the road, and growing from it and going forward with a positive attitude.”
Under Kevin O’Connell, Phillips is in his second season as the offensive coordinator for the Vikings.
