Following what appeared to be a disappointing season for David Bakhtiari, the Green Bay Packers must identify players who will gel on the field with Jordan Love. Rasheed Walker, an offensive tackle, is more than prepared to take over.
As it stands, Bakhtiari is a liability for the Packers due to his frequent injuries and large contract. Walker, on the other hand, demonstrated his abilities during the Packers’ remarkable season last year if given the opportunity.
By Week 2, Bakhtiari was absent, but Walker was up to the task for Green Bay. And by Week 8, Walker had become more significant in the lineup than Yosh Nijman, despite the fact that he shared that spot with the latter. One could argue that, given his improvement from the previous season, he outperformed Love’s breakthrough season. Elgton Jenkins, a two-time Pro Bowler, believes that Walker might start for the Packers later this season.
Walker has a decent chance of starting over Bakhtiari and Nijman because of his youth and plenty of room to develop throughout the years. If it occurs, his efforts will shortly be rewarded.
Walker, the offensive tackle, understands he needs to contribute more to his team despite all of the excitement surrounding him. In a piece that appeared on the official Packers website, Walker stated: “It’s never enough.” “You must always do more.” However, I’ll do what I have to do as long as I’m on the field, Walker declared.
Walker has every reason to be trusted by Green Bay, especially with another big season ahead of him. When you consider Bakhtiari’s uncertain future with the squad, it makes more logical that he will soon play a bigger part.
