Jaime Jaquez, a rookie with the Miami Heat, didn’t let the fact that he didn’t win his first NBA slam dunk contest stop him from representing his most recent sponsorship.
Jaquez sported a New Era Cap “59FIFTH” Heat City Edition baseball cap during one of his preliminarily rounds dunks. Despite not advancing past the first round, he was nevertheless given the opportunity to represent the company.

After Derrick Jones Jr. (2020), Harold Miner (1993 and 1995), and Billy Thompson (1990), Jaquez was the fourth different Heat player in franchise history to compete in the tournament.
Regarding his first All-Star Weekend, Jaquez said, “I would say it was a lot of fun.” “I had a fantastic weekend. I got to shake lots of hands and get to know a lot of interesting folks. It was therefore great to be able to enter a setting like this with such a remarkable collection of talent from all walks of life. Nevertheless, Jaquez’s decision to represent New Era Cap on the biggest platforms delighted the company. He was the Heat’s first competitor in the competition since Jones Jr.’s victory in Chicago in 2020.
