Toto Wolff, a driver for Mercedes, claims that Red Bull’s continuing inquiry into claims made about team president
Christian Horner is “an issue” for the entire Formula 1 community.
Two weeks ago, the Red Bull F1 team’s Austrian owners said that they were investigating the accusations made
against Horner. He continued to perform his previous duties in the meantime and attended today’s pre-season test at
Bahrain International Circuit.
Formula One Management requested last week that Red Bull provide Horner’s situation as much clarity as possible.
Later, Red Bull’s motorsport consultant justified the company’s inquiry management, stating that it was necessary to
guarantee a just conclusion.

When questioned about the investigation during today’s FIA press conference, Wolff stated that it must be conducted
correctly and that the results will have an impact on the sport in addition to Red Bull.
He declared, “We stand for inclusion, equality, fairness, and diversity with Formula 1 and what the teams do.” And
that means living it every day, not just talking about it. We are holding ourselves to these standards. We are one of
the most significant sports platforms worldwide, a global sport, and role models. Having said that, a lot of things
have been going on and a lot of conjecture that we have heard about have been occurring over the past few weeks. At
that point, a rigorous methodology is what matters.
We want to talk about racing cars and the sport, not these kinds of very important topics that are more of a team
issue. “I think what Red Bull has started, an independent investigation that is done in the right way with
transparency and rigour, I think that’s something we need to look at – what the outcomes are and what it means for
Formula 1 and how we can learn from that.” It’s a phenomena and a problem that affects everyone who works in
Formula 1 as well as the broader workforce. Red Bull has stated that it will not comment until their inquiry is
complete and has not provided any information on the accusations made against Horner.
The FIA stated this week that it will hold off on making any comments until Red Bull’s probe is finished.
In a statement, the FIA stated, “With regard to the independent investigation currently being conducted by Red Bull
GMbH, we reiterate that we will not be commenting further until the investigation has concluded and the outcome is
known.” “The FIA is still dedicated to keeping the sport’s highest standards of honesty, equity, and inclusivity.”
