Steve Kerr received a two-year, $35 million extension from the Golden State Warriors on Friday. With an annual
salary of over $17.5 million, Kerr is currently the most paid NBA coach in history. Draymond Green, of course,
was one player who was ecstatic for him.
After the Warriors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 97-84, Green addressed the media on his coach’s new deal.
“That’s a substantial amount of money,” grinned Green. “I find it to be amazing.” I wouldn’t want to work with
any other coach to conclude my stay here. You truly can’t replace the way he’s been to this franchise, what he’s
done for us as players, or the winning methods he brought with him. Thus, I’m overjoyed for Steve and his loved
ones. He received his just desserts.

Furthermore, the forward made it plain that he understood team owner Joe Lacob would give Kerr the contract
when asked whether he had any concerns about Kerr’s extension proceeding.
“No, since I have faith that Joe will make the proper decision. According to Anthony Slater of the Athletic, Green
continued, “He’s (Joe) done nothing but build that trust with us to know that he’s going to do the right thing and
what’s best and take care of those that have taken care of this organization. ONTRACT”The forward, who just
inked a four-year contract extension with the Warriors until 2023, is undoubtedly excited to continue working
with the coach who oversaw the team’s last four NBA titles.
No matter how many people count Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson out, the squad isn’t
done yet because they have Steve Kerr on their side. Father Time is slowly catching up to them.
