JUST IN: Three Major Trade Target For Packers This Offseason…

The Green Bay Packers are in a good place going into the 2024 offseason. After the Packers finished the season in

the postseason, the players, management, and fan base are all pleased with the team’s trajectory.

By Week 16, Green Bay was 6-8. They rebounded, winning three of the next four games to finish 9-8 and secure

the seventh seed. In the Wild Card Round, the Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 48–32 at AT&T Stadium. In

the Divisional Round, they ultimately lost 24–21 to the San Francisco 49ers.

Even with the loss, things will get better. The Packers can strengthen a few position groupings, and we’ll talk

about three feasible trade candidates below.

Mic'd Up: LB De'Vondre Campbell

More quickness and agility in the center of the field would be beneficial for the Packers. The Green Bay defense’s

linebackers had trouble stopping the run and covering passes. Although De’Vondre Campbell, a linebacker, has a

deal that runs through 2026, he struggled to stay on the field in 2023.

Last year, Campbell had to miss six games due to injuries to his neck and ankle. The 30-year-old didn’t even

appear like the same athlete when he was playing.

Shaq Thompson, a linebacker for Carolina, is an intriguing name that might be available. In 2023, Thompson

broke his fibula, causing him to miss the full campaign.

He is now entering the last year of a four-year, $54.4 million contract. The Panthers could make use of any draft

picks that become available because they are currently rebuilding. Thompson is a versatile defender with the

ability to contribute to both run and pass game plays.

While baffled that he was available, Packers 'thankful' to have 'outstanding' De'Vondre Campbell at inside linebacker

Over his nine-year career, the 29-year-old has amassed 715 total tackles, 12 sacks, five forced fumbles, and three

interceptions. From 2019 to 2022, he had over 100 tackles. He would make a fantastic addition to the defensive

unit’s middle.
