BREAKING NEWS: Steelers to add some QB…

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been looking for a new franchise quarterback ever since Ben Roethlisberger retired.

None of the signal-callers the Steelers have used have been able to demonstrate their ability to manage the

offense.Since being selected in the first round a few years ago, Kenny Pickett has made some small progress, but

injuries have prevented him from developing any kind of rhythm or consistency.

Rather, Pittsburgh will be looking to get a seasoned player this offseason who can help them overcome their

offensive problems and return to the postseason.

While there are a few free agent choices, like Kirk Cousins and Ryan Tannehill, Russell Wilson is still the name to

keep an eye on.

Wilson’s personality, according to LaVar Arrington, wouldn’t fit in Pittsburgh, according to FOX Sports via

Blitzburgh on Twitter.

“I simply don’t believe that his personality fits the Pittsburgh style. He’s mushy, Arrington remarked.”

Wilson’s downfall on the field has a long history, and playing for the Denver Broncos didn’t help him get a fresh

start elsewhere.

Despite having a slight comeback season in 2023, the former Super Bowl winner was benched toward the close of

the season in favor of backup Jarrett Stidham.

Wilson can probably still be useful to a team, but considering his recent struggles, the Steelers might want to go

elsewhere.

Cousins would be a perfect fit, but Tannehill looks to be nearing the end of his career, and his Achilles issue is a

worry.

In any case, Pittsburgh is aware that they most likely need a stronger player than Pickett to get over this hurdle.
