BREAKING NEWS: A 27-Year-Old Big-Armed QB Floated as Fit for Raiders…

Among the clubs with the greatest need at quarterback are the Las Vegas Raiders, and they ought to be taking serious

action to fill that need. Nevertheless, it appears that obtaining one of the best picks in the draft will be challenging.

Although it’s not ideal, the Raiders might think about using veteran stopgap players to challenge Aidan O’Connell

until they have the opportunity to select a quarterback in the first round. Fantasy Life’s Ian Hartitz suggested adding

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock to Las Vegas in an article dated March 4.

Seahawks QB Drew Lock on game-winning drive over Eagles: 'Amazing won't do it justice'

Lock is about to make his first career free agency entry, and it’s uncertain how the market will be for him. Because of

his incredible arm, he has always been a player with a lot of promise, but he hasn’t had much success on the field. He

has completed twenty-three games with a touchdown pass and twenty-three interceptions. Additionally, he only

completes 59.7% of his passes. He is a real gunslinger with a lot of terrible plays as well as big ones.

Lock might be too risky for the Raiders to feel comfortable signing because they are implementing a new offense

under Luke Getsy this season, but he might still have some upside. Drew Lock has been given numerous

opportunities to establish himself as a starter. Both the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks had

quarterbacking issues at various points throughout his tenure with them. Lock was unable to perform well enough to

be hired as a regular starter.

Nick Shook of NFL.com isn’t convinced that Lock can improve and establish himself as a franchise quarterback.

“Lock’s 2023 campaign can be reduced to two facts: He went into a close game and threw a pick that resulted in a

loss to the Rams, and he performed heroically that resulted in a prime-time victory over the Eagles, establishing him

as a beloved figure among football fans worldwide,” Shook wrote in a column published on January 25. “Look, Lock

has experienced a lot in his NFL career, and the majority of his snaps are quite lacking. However, he occasionally

demonstrates skill that piques the interest of observers about his potential. Do I believe he will ever reach his full

potential? No. However, we can be sure that at least a few personnel chiefs will give him a close examination and

conclude that the passer can improve the team, even if he doesn’t start.”

It’s highly likely that the Raiders would prefer to add one of the best quarterbacks available in this year’s draft. The

issue is that they finished with too many victories and were selected with the No. 13 pick. They will now have to move

up to get one of the best choices.

Though it takes two teams to make a trade work, it looks like the Raiders are quite interested in trading up. It also

depends on how the quarterback class is received in Las Vegas. Given that the first three teams to choose in the draft

are all probably going to select quarterbacks, it may be an issue if they only like three choices to trade up.
