The Miami Heat have provided significant injury and status updates for players like Kevin Love, Patty Mills, and star
Tyler Herro. The Heat have won 11 of their previous 14 games, marking a significant turnaround from their seven-
game losing streak that came to an end in late January.
But according to the team’s X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Herro and Love will not be traveling to Dallas
with the team for a road game against the Mavericks on Thursday, so they will still be without them.
Herro has missed the last five games because of a foot condition precisely diagnosed as “right foot medial tendinitis.”
Previously, the issue was a hyperextended knee.

“It’s the same small spot that I had trouble with in my rookie year with my right foot. That and this are the same
thing. Thus, at the moment, we’re really attempting to manage it,” Herro told Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald.
Herro’s return to the club is not yet scheduled, even though they stated they did not go for the road trip. However,
they did not rule him out for Friday’s last game of the back-to-back against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Erik
Spoelstra, head coach of the Heat, clarified that they aren’t “saving” him for the postseason.
Before the game against the Pistons, Spoelstra stated, “It’s managing where he is right now, and once it feels right
and gets past the protocols, he’ll play.” “No, nobody will be kept for the postseason. We have a great deal of work
ahead of us to ensure our entry.
Due to a right heel bruise he sustained during the team’s victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, Kevin Love will miss
his fourth and fifth straight games on Thursday and Friday. Since joining the Heat through the buyout market the
previous season, Love has grown to be a crucial member of the team.
He has been a dependable player for Spoelstra and has evolved into star Bam Adebayo’s backup center. The head
coach has referred to Love as a “connector of all connectors” numerous times.

Earlier in the season, Spoelstra stated, “I think the transition that he’s made at this stage of his career, most former
All-Stars can’t or aren’t willing to do it.” He truly shines in that kind of role. Because he is the connector of all
connectors, he is extremely significant to our group. He resembles our emotional leader quite a bit.
At this point in his career, all he wants is to succeed. He simply wants to help our team win by doing whatever it
takes, according to Spoelstra. And if your motives are genuine, there’s karma involved. And it still requires a sacrifice
at this point. However, he is prepared to make sacrifices for the benefit of the team, which sets a great example for
others to strive toward what we are attempting to accomplish. I adore the part he’s playing at the moment.
The official signing of former Atlanta Hawks guard Patty Mills, who was bought out of his contract, was also revealed
by the Heat on Wednesday. Although the decision confused many, there were several good reasons for it, including
Josh Richardson of the Heat missing the entire season due to shoulder surgery.
In response to a question on the club’s depth at guard prior to Tuesday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons,
Spoelstra stated, “I can’t comment about anything, but we love our depth and love the versatility that we have on our
team, and that’s one of our strengths for sure.”
During the road trip, Mills will travel with the Heat and begin acclimating to his new squad. He brings significant
senior leadership and depth to Miami’s guard group. Having played in the NBA for fifteen seasons, he has an
impressive postseason record.
With a 35-26 record for the season, the Heat are ranked sixth in the competitive Eastern Conference. They will now
begin a back-to-back on Thursday, hosting the Mavericks and Thunder on Friday, before hosting the Washington
Wizards at home on Sunday.
