SAD NEWS: Celtics Release Lengthy Injury Report for Monday’s Trail Blazers Game…

Before Monday’s game, which is the fourth of the Celtics’ five-game road trip against the Trail Blazers, all five of their

starters are listed as injured.

The Boston Celtics, who lead the NBA standings, look to win 50 games this season after defeating the Phoenix Suns

117-107 in the desert on Saturday night at the Moda Center.

Malcolm Brogdon and Dalano Banton will be the C’s opponents in their fourth game of a five-game road trip against

the Portland Trail Blazers.

Derrick White is making history with his recent stretch of 2-way play

This is the first time the former has faced the latter since sending him to the Pacific Northwest during the trade

deadline when Boston acquired Jaden Springer the day before adding Xavier Tillman. The former was included in

the transaction for Jrue Holiday.

Averaging 15.7 points, 5.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 41.2 percent from beyond the arc on 5.1 attempts, Brogdon is

averaging his performance.

With the Trail Blazers, Banton has made 12 appearances, four of which have been starts. He averages 14 points, 4.5

rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. He’s averaging 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and a 40 percent three-

point shooting percentage since joining the first team. The Celtics have released a long injury list that includes every

player in their standard starting lineup as they get ready for the second half of a back-to-back. Their lengthy absence

from TD Garden will come to an end on Tuesday night against the Utah Jazz.

Due to a sacroiliac injury, Jaylen Brown, who scored 27 points against the Suns, is doubtful for Monday’s matchup.

Derrick White has been a great fit for Celtics ... except for his shooting

With a right ankle impingement, Jayson Tatum—who finished the game with a team-high 29 points, ten rebounds,

and seven assists—is doubtful. Due to left knee tendinopathy, Jrue Holiday—who ended the game with 15 points, six

assists, two steals, and a block on Saturday—is questionable.

Derrick White, who put up ten points, nine assists, five rebounds, and one of the best blocks of the season, is also

doubtful for Monday’s game because of a left-hand strain. Kristaps Porzingis will miss his second straight game due

to soreness in his right hamstring. Additionally out of the game for Monday’s encounter at the Moda Center is Svi

Mykhailiuk. He’s not there for private reasons.
