The most recent NFL Mock Draft from The 33rd Team suggests that the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles
would be interested in trading. Philadelphia would receive the No. 19 pick in the first round as part of the
transaction, while Los Angeles would receive the No. 22 and No. 97 picks from the Eagles in the third round.
Additionally, the Rams, who have the 22nd pick overall, may be able to move back in this draft class and select a
quality player at a position where they are most needed.
Under such circumstances, Iowa product Cooper DeJean, a junior prospect who stands six feet one and weighs 207
pounds, becomes the Rams’ main weapon. Since he can line up at several different spots in the secondary and is
versatile, DeJean has been a frequent draft projection for Los Angeles. DeJean would fill a big need on the Rams’
squad and be the best player available at that stage of the draft if paired with him. Under Howie Roseman’s direction,
the Eagles, who own four draft selections in the top 100, are prepared to act decisively, especially if players fit their
team’s needs.
The 33rd team thinks that because the Eagles need a cornerback like Quinton Mitchell, they will be open to making
this trade with the Rams. Associated: Panthers Trade Burns After Turning Down Rams’ Monster Offer Mitchell is a
strong candidate for the best cornerback spot in his class thanks to his remarkable size, athleticism, length, and tape.
His great Senior Bowl performances and strong combine performance have solidified his status as a player deserving
of a top-20 pick. Both teams may benefit from this possible trade, which would provide the Rams additional draft
capital later on to bolster a roster that was thinned out by free-agency departures.
