Marc Cucurella rejoiced after beating Leicester City in this weekend’s cup match to score his first goal for Chelsea.
At Stamford Bridge on Sunday, Chelsea defeated Leicester 4–2 in the FA Cup quarterfinal. As a result, the Blues have
secured their trip back to Wembley Stadium for the tournament’s semi-finals against Manchester City next month.
By the way, the other semifinal pits Coventry City against Manchester United.

Actually, the left-back scored his first Chelsea goal during his impressive display against Leicester.
With a straightforward tap into an empty net, he opened the score in a thrilling six-goal match. However, the full-
back had a strong desire to dive into the penalty area and meet Nicolas Jackson’s cross.
Cucurella posted on Instagram to express his joy following a goal and a Chelsea victory. Reece James was among the
teammates who responded to him in the comment area. The Blues club captain made jokes about his teammate’s
goal, which came “finally.”
Cucurella, in our opinion, followed up a strong performance against Newcastle United at home on Monday with
another strong performance against Leicester.
GiveMeSport revealed earlier this month that Cucurella will probably be sold by Chelsea when the summer transfer
market opens at the end of the current campaign. We do wonder, though, if in the next months the Spanish defender
will be able to convince the team otherwise.
He is a real energy player on the field and is skillful with the ball. He can be a bit hasty at times, which is our one
concern, but other than that, he’s a good full-back option.
We’re interested to see what transpires during the international break because Ben Chilwell has returned from injury
to challenge for the starting left-back position in the XI.
