Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, has demonstrated his ability to win at every level of the game. After being named the finest player in college football in 2016 and earning the Heisman Trophy, Jackson went on to win his first of two NFL MVP titles three years later and his second this past season. What about other sports, though?

It seems that Jackson would like to give soccer a go, or at least believes he could dominate there. On Sunday, Jackson shared a Photoshopped image of his head with the phrase “GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!!” on social media featuring a member of the U.S. men’s national team. “Just sitting here thinking… I could’ve been on some Lionel Messi or Kylian Mbappé type,” was the post that followed.
Jackson had hinted at his passion for soccer during the 2022 World Cup. Argentina won that match against France thanks to penalty kicks (still an odd method to crown a sport’s global champion, but I’m getting off topic). Following the match, Jackson expressed his respect for Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi. So it’s obvious that Jackson is proud of his love of soccer. He may be a soccer enthusiast, but he has excelled in football. In addition to winning two league MVP awards and the Heisman Trophy, the former Louisville Cardinal has three Pro Bowl appearances under his belt and a 58-19 career record as a starter.

I apologize; those of you who follow soccer should read, 58-19-0
In 2023, Jackson led the Ravens in rushing as well, showcasing his skills frequently. How would that apply to a soccer pitch, I wonder? Hopefully, we’ll never find out.
