Another free agent from the 49ers is headed to a new NFL franchise in San Francisco.
Sebastian Joseph-Day, a defensive tackle, and the Tennessee Titans have reached an agreement on a one-year
contract, his agent Legend Agency informed NFL Network’s Jason McCourty on Tuesday. The agreement was
reached following Joseph-Day’s Monday visit to the Titans.

The Los Angeles Rams, who selected the seasoned defensive lineman in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, took
him to the Super Bowl in 2021. Joseph-Day signed a three-year, $24 million free agent contract with the Los Angeles
Chargers last year after playing for the Rams for four seasons. However, he was cut after general manager Tom
Telasco and coach Brandon Staley were fired by the organization.
After clearing waivers, Joseph-Day signed with the 49ers in December to provide depth while Arik Armstead
recovered from an injury. In 2023, he played for San Francisco in two regular-season games and three postseason
contests, totaling eight tackles in those contests.
The 49ers’ defensive line corps has undergone other changes this offseason in addition to the departure of the 28-
year-old. The upcoming season will see Armstead, Chase Young, Clelin Ferrell, and Javon Kinlaw join new teams,
while San Francisco will welcome back Yeter Gross-Matos, Jordan Elliott, Leonard Floyd, and Maliek Collins in
2024.
