After suffering an ankle injury on Sunday, Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser had to depart the team’s 130-104
victory over the Washington Wizards in the middle of a record shooting display.
Hauser left the game during the third quarter and never came back.

Happily, Hauser’s ankle x-rays came back negative, and the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach reports that “he is
not expected to be sidelined for an extended period.”
Hauser is among the top 3-point shooters in the NBA, and he proved it against the Wizards by making 10 of his 13
attempts from beyond the arc. His 22:49 minutes played were the fewest of any NBA player to shoot 10 3-pointers in
a game, and his 30 points set a new career record.
This season, Hauser’s 3-point percentage of 43.2 percent is second only to Jrue Holiday’s 44.5 percent among Celtics
players. His March 3-point percentage increased to a scorching 49.5 percent over nine games thanks to his shooting
prowess on Sunday.
