agency, they have added a number of important players at different positions in preparation for a three-peat in 2024.
With the signing of veteran receiver Marquise Brown to a one-year contract this week, the Chiefs don’t have many
gaps in their roster. Brown should be a good complement to rookie wide out Rashee Rice. Additionally, Kansas City
re-signed Drue Tranquill to a three-year contract and Chris Jones to a hefty five-year agreement.

As we approach the second week of free agency, Kansas City is in excellent place to make a trip back to the Super
Bowl (+500 on FanDuel Sportsbook). However, the team should still think about adding a few free agents.
Given the uncertainty surrounding L’Jarius Sneed’s future, the Chiefs may try to bolster their cornerback corps.
Sneed is playing under the franchise tag for Kansas City, thus trading him would significantly reduce the team’s
options. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Chiefs to shift Joshua Williams, who has played in 33 games during his first
two years in the NFL, to Snead’s position.
Kristian Fulton, a former LSU cornerback, may be a good depth addition to the Chiefs secondary if they choose that
course of action. The Tennessee Titans, who saw the 25-year-old defensive back play in just 12 games the previous
season, have not decided to resign him.
With the Titans in 2023, the 5-foot-11 cornerback had an acceptable season with 46 total tackles, five pass
deflections, and two tackles for loss. But Fulton struggled a bit in pass coverage, something that wasn’t a problem in
prior seasons.
The former LSU cornerback surrendered only one touchdown while posting a 75.4 completion % allowed on targets
and a 114.1 pass rating allowed when targeted.
Fulton’s pass coverage needs to be improved; it was better in 2022 (52.4 Cmp%, 82.8 Rat) and 2021 (51.4% Cmp%,
71.3 Rat), despite the fact that he only gave up one touchdown. For a winning squad, he will be a low-risk, high-
reward addition.
