Exclusive rights quarterback Jake Browning was re-signed by the Bengals today to a two-year deal that runs through
the 2025 campaign. Additionally, the team signed quarterback Logan Woodside, an unrestricted free agent, to a one-
year contract for the 2024 campaign.
Prior to the 2021 season, Browning, a second-year athlete from the University of Washington, signed a contract to
join the Bengals practice squad. He was a member of Cincinnati’s practice squad in 2021 and 2022 before making
nine appearances in 23 (seven of which were starts). As a starter, he guided the squad to a 4-3 record and completed
171 of 243 passes (70.4%) for 1936 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The Bengals originally selected Woodside (6-1, 213), a fifth-year player out of the University of Toledo, in the seventh
round in 2018. He completed four of seven throws for 34 yards over his 13 career games with the Tennessee Titans
(2020–21) and Atlanta Falcons (’22–23).
